While Maggie (inset photo) was waiting for a ship to sail from the Venice San Basilio Cruise Terminal yesterday afternoon, she--and we--saw a tour boat approach the Zattere, Venice's pedestrian promenade alongside the Giudecca Canal.
The vessel stopped just short of the promenade, and a crew member leaped from the bow of the boat onto dry land.
